Blom-Singer® Special Order Voice Prostheses Program
Unique problems call for unique solutions. People are different, and a standard voice prosthesis might not be right for everyone. We understand those differences and offer voice prostheses to address those needs. Our Special Order Voice Prostheses Program provides solutions with special lengths, large flanges, increased resistance, and combinations of each.
Special Length
Available in one millimeter incremental lengths for a more precise TE
puncture fit.
Increased Resistance
Designed to be used in patients in whom conventional voice prostheses open
intermittently with fluctuations in esophageal pressures resulting in air
ingestion and/or leakage.
Large Esophageal Flange
Provides a seal to help manage leakage around a voice prosthesis. Also, enables downsizing from a wider diameter prosthesis to a smaller diameter.
Effectiveness depends on an optimal prosthesis length fit that achieves a snug flange-to-flange seal against the wall surface(s).
Large Esophageal & Tracheal Flanges
Provides a double seal in patients with significantly enlarged puncture tracts and tear-drop or irregularly shaped punctures. Effectiveness depends on an optimal prosthesis length fit that achieves a snug flange-to-flange seal against the wall surface(s).
